Okaloosa school bus involved in rear-end collision

DESTIN — An Okaloosa County School District bus was involved in a rear-end collision accident Thursday afternoon.According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, just before 4 p.m. the school bus, which was carrying 43 children, rear-ended a Nissan Altima on Commons Drive East.There were no injuries.The driver of the bus, 55-year-old Bibiana Lough of Navarre, was charged with careless driving.

1 dead, 1 in critical condition after PCB house fire

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Emergency personnel say one person died in a home fire this morning in Panama City Beach. A fire at a single-wide trailer at 231 Rose Lane was called in just after 6 a.m. Emergency crews said one person was pronounced dead on scene, and another was taken to the hospital with burns and smoke inhalation and remains in critical condition.
