Freeport, Fla— Charges are expected after a criminal mischief call turns into a pursuit with deputies.

Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a criminal mischief call on Edgewood Drive because of a woman, later identified as 51-year-old Kim Holt, preventing a neighbor’s daughter from coming home and berating another resident of the home. Holt also threw a full soda can at one of the victims; damaging a car. Before deputies could arrive Holt fled from the scene.

“Someone needs to do something about Kim Holt,” pleaded the caller to dispatchers.

Moments later, a rattled bus driver called Freeport Middle School Resource Deputy Nathan Hicks to report a woman harassing children at a school bus stop and preventing them from getting on the bus. When the bus left the stop the suspect proceeded to do doughnuts in front of the bus in an “ice cream” truck. Multiple concerned motorists called 911 and deputies responded to the scene.

Sergeant Chris Infinger caught up with Holt at Hatcher Cemetery Road and approached the vehicle, which was stopped in the roadway. Holt proceeded to lock herself inside the truck and put the vehicle in reverse slamming into Sergeant Infinger’s patrol car. That’s when he attempted to gain access to the vehicle by breaking the driver’s side window. Holt then grabbed an improvised club and began swinging it at Sergeant Infinger. He removed himself from the vehicle and Holt took off down Bay Loop.

Deputy Nathan Hicks was able to set up spikes on the east side of Bay Loop forcing Holt’s tires to flatten and she slid into a ditch near Murphy Oil on North Avenue. She was taken into custody. Charges will be forthcoming including throwing a deadly missile, criminal mischief, fleeing and eluding, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and resisting arrest with violence.

Holt has a lengthy criminal history and has had several previous run-ins with the law. Her “ice cream” truck is actually a work truck for her “i Screen” business. She identifies herself as the “Screen Queen.”
