A kayaker struggling to come ashore for several hours is rescued by Walton County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit.
The man told dispatchers he had been fighting against the current to get to shore, but could not make it in.
Dispatchers lost contact with the man after his kayak turned over. However, Deputies located him a short time later and he is now safe on dry land.
