DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla—The Walton County Sheriff’s Office VICE/Narcotics unit has arrested two DeFuniak Springs men after discovering approximately one and half ounces of crack cocaine in their possession.

On May 29th, Investigators identified Kadeem Kenneth Ingram, 28, standing in a yard off Bay Street. Investigators were aware Ingram had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Ingram then entered a vehicle and was seen sitting in the driver’s seat. Alexander Bernard Smith, 29, was observed seated in the passenger seat. When investigators approached the vehicle, they saw Ingram begin shoving what appeared to be bags of cocaine in the center console while Smith was seen putting items in the pocket of the passenger side door.

Ingram was placed under arrest for his two outstanding warrants. A search of the vehicle was conducted and located in the center console and passenger side door were plastic bags containing cocaine, marijuana, and a digital scale. In addition, $2,637 in currency was seized pending forfeiture proceedings.

Ingram and Smith were arrested and charged with cocaine trafficking, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported and booked into the Walton County Jail.  Both received $50,000 bonds and bonded out Wednesday.
