FORT WALTON BEACH — A pregnant woman was sent to the hospital following a Thursday afternoon accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

A black Cadillac sedan and a red Mustang were involved in an accident at about 4 p.m. Thursday in front of Heather Glenn Apartments, at the intersection of Hunt Club Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. A Florida Highway Patrol crash report has not yet been released.

According to the call history record from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, two females, one male and two juveniles were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. It is unclear who was in which vehicle. The call history information is preliminary and may not be totally accurate, according to OCSO spokesperson Michele Nicholson.

The driver of the Cadillac — who has not yet been named — is pregnant, according to her brother-in-law Mark DeJesus who arrived on scene after the drivers were transported to the hospital via ambulance.

DeJesus said his mother lives in Heather Glenn Apartments. He said he believes his sister-in-law was turning into the apartment complex to pick up her child from their grandmother’s house when she was T-boned by the Mustang.

This story will be updated with new information as it becomes available.
