Investigating Theft in Seagrove Beach

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of $12,600 worth of equipment in Seagrove, Florida.

On July 4, 2018 the Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to Seagrove Center Storage located at 4935 E Co Highway 30A and discovered that beach chairs, beach umbrellas, surfboards, paddle boards and paddles had been stolen from a local businesses’ storage unit. The beach chairs and beach umbrellas are blue and brown with the logo “Dillon’s Beach Services 850-259-5849” on them. According to video surveillance from a nearby business, a Penske rental truck pulled into the storage center parking lot at 10:00 on the night of July 3rd and exited the parking approximately twenty minutes later. The rental truck hit the side of the storage unit building during the burglary, causing possible damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.
