Talk about a flashback Friday, Backstreet is back. For real, this time.
The boys surprised fans today with the announcement of a new album, new song with music video and a gigantic list of world tour dates!
Let’s start with the song, “Chances.” I’ll admit, it’s catchy and you can credit the fresh sound to the fact that this was co-written by Shawn Mendes and Ryan Tedder. I already enjoy it significantly more than the other single they released this year, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”
The album, “DNA” will be due out in January and the group literally researched their DNA while writing it. They say they each took the time to have a DNA test done to determine what hidden elements they could each bring to the record. How will that be reflected musically? Stay tuned, I guess.
Which brings us the “DNA World Tour.” Just when you thought these guys were content with nestling in to a Las Vegas residency comfort zone (no offense, Britney) they flip the script and prepare to embark on their largest tour in 18 years. Check the list below for North American dates…

It was a good day to be a Backstreet fan, alright. If anyone needs me, I’ll be over here being hella salty that we couldn’t even got N’Sync to make a one minute Superbowl cameo.
XoXo,
Mary Jo
