A total of 15 defendants have been indicted on federal drug-trafficking charges and an additional 29 co-conspirators face state drug-trafficking charges as a result of a multi-agency effort to bring down an organized drug trafficking operation in Walton County. Read the original press release here.

Since the announcement of this investigation on November 10th, the following individuals have been located and are now in custody:
Demonta Easley (federal)
Marissa Martin (state)
Austin Lee (state)
Frank Jordan (state)
Michael Kabaci (state)
Amanda Wade (deceased)
Demonta Easley was arrested in a strip mall on S. Holiday road in Miramar Beach on the evening of November 10th and was found with 1/2 lb of heroin, approximately 500 fentanyl tablets, and a loaded handgun. Easley attempted to flee law enforcement and tried to ram the front of an undercover vehicle.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office has also arrested Jonathan Morris under the same case. Johnson is charged with conspiracy to purchase heroin, conspiracy to purchase methamphetamine, and conspiracy to purchase cocaine, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
