The Forgotten Coast real estate market slowed slightly as summer came to a close but continued to see activity in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island during August. There were 45 properties closed during the month with 107 properties currently under contract. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach had the highest number of transactions with 13 closings while Cape San Blas had the highest priced property to sell, a gulf front home closing at $2.437 million.
