Panhandle Players Present Accidentally Wealthy

Accidentally Wealthy chronicles the story of Reggie and Grace Worthing, recent newlyweds embarking on their new life together, a new life marred by tragic pasts.  Both were widowed under mysterious circumstances.  Returning from a month-long honeymoon abroad it appears that someone’s life is in danger. Is it Reggie’s or is it Grace’s? Could one of these seemingly carefree people be a murderer? Or, are they truly Accidentally Wealthy?


St. George Island Tour of Homes

Benefiting the St. George Lighthouse Association, the 10th Annual St. George Island Tour of Homes will feature six unique and attractive homes, from the gated St. George Plantation on the West to the beautiful gulf views on the East End. These homes showcase the distinct architecture, décor, landscape, and vistas on the island.


H’COLA History Festival

A celebration of African-American history, life, music, and culture, the H’COLA Annual African-American History Festival returns to Franklin Square! This outdoor, family-oriented event is filled with varied artists and entertainers, children’s activities, arts, history, education, health & wellness, and more.


Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off

Find fun, flavor, and spices at the 22nd Annual Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off with a variety of types of gumbos and Brunswick stews! Free to enter with food and beverage available for purchase, there will be live music, free beads, and a festive Mardi Gras mood! All proceeds raised will go toward the Special Events for Mexico Beach’s Best Blast on the Beach July 4th firework show.

The theme of the 11th Annual Apalachicola Mardi Gras Barkus Parade is: Pirates of Oyster City! The festivities begin at 11:00am with live entertainment, local food vendors, and a variety of arts and craft vendors to enjoy while strolling through the park. The parade of costumed dogs and their people, decorated golf carts, and boats begins at 1:00pm.
