As part of the Santa Rosa Beach Coastal Library’s Art in Public Places program, the Library will host the art of Maggie Kalina. Maggie is 33 years old and was born and raised in Poland. Her family moved to the United States in 2003. She is a self-taught artist who discovered a passion for painting in middle school. Art class was always her favorite subject since she can remember.
Ms. Kalina’s artwork focuses primarily on seascape in both acrylic paint and resin. She started her journey with resin just recently and completely fell in love with it. Maggie’s work is inspired by the beautiful beaches around us in the Panhandle Florida.
Finding seashells or driftwood on the beach is discovering a world of imagination. She always looks for new ideas and loves to try different ways to create one of a kind, unique pieces of art.
The Coastal Branch Library is located at 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach. Open Tuesday through Saturday 9am-5pm and Mondays 9am-6pm, Call (850) 267-2809 for more information.
