Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park

The Friends of Eden Gardens invite the community to the annual Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park. Visitors are invited to stroll through amazing gardens full of unique Camellias, see displays and demonstrations, historic reenactments, and learn about Camellia propagating and growing. Camellias will be available for a donation from the nursery. Live music will be provided on the bayou stage, so bring your chairs or blankets and plan to spend the afternoon in the park. This community event is free with paid admission to the Park. Donations to Friends of Eden Gardens are always appreciated.

Join Dog-Harmony for Love & Football: A Dog Promenade Fur parents are encouraged to dress up their pups in a uniform of their favorite football team in honor of the Big Game, or a Valentine’s Day theme. The event will feature Gulf Coast gourmet from food sponsor, JC’s Gourmet, and Dog-Harmony Ale from Destin Brewery. The $10 entry fee includes a professional digital photo of your doggie celebrity and the chance to win fabulous prizes! Prizes will be awarded in two weight categories for Best Dressed, Most Creative, and Most Enthusiastic pups.

Caring and Sharing of South Walton is excited to share details of its Annual Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon. This year, the event will be held Sunday, February 20, at the Vue on 30a beginning at 12:30PM. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at the Caring & Sharing facility located at 112 Lynn Drive, SRB.  Guests will enjoy lunch and a fashion show, silent auction, and an onsite boutique. All funds raised at the Annual Fashion Show will allow Caring and Sharing of South Walton to continue providing food, utility, prescription, and basic need assistance to residents of South Walton County. The tenth annual 30A Wine Festival returns to the beautiful community of Alys Beach Showcasing renowned vintners and beloved culinary personalities, the five-day celebration will benefit the Children’s Volunteer Health Network. The festival kicks off with an intimate wine dinner featuring a four-course meal prepared by Alys Beach Executive Chef Kevin Cavanaugh. On Thursday evening, attendees have the option between an Oyster and Champagne gathering in Central Park or a Rum Dinner in Papilio Park. Friday afternoon, a Mixology Seminar followed by the Bourbon, Beer & Butts event, where a lively barbecue and bourbon tasting will feature some of the country’s best pit masters and distillers, with live music under the stars on Kelly Green. Saturday showcases the exquisite Grand Tasting event featuring tastings from distinguished vintners and chefs stationed along the meandering, open-air gallery of picturesque South Charles Street in the heart of Alys Beach. “Rosé & Croquet ” on Sunday features rosé tastings, a delicious brunch, and the beloved croquet tournament where croquet whites are not only encouraged but have become an iconic part of our final day of celebration.
