Winter Bay Day Celebration

Port St. Joe comes alive at The Winter Bay Day Celebration, as the friends of St. Joseph Bay Preserves present a day of education, shrimp, and music. Hop aboard a guided Tram Tour through the backwoods trails of the Buffer Preserve and learn about the native animal and plant life. With a variety of fun and festive activities for all ages, it’s the perfect way to experience the natural beauty and community spirit of Port St. Joe. Snowbird Appreciation Tournament

A bi-annual event, the Fall Bay Day Celebration celebrates the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve and highlights all of the activities available at the preserve. Enjoy a silent auction, raffle, birding tours, wildlife exhibits, nature/plant exhibits, educational displays, and a low country shrimp boil. In addition, there will be kids activities, fire demonstration, snacks, live music and tram tours.


Lovebirds & Shorebirds: Beach Cleanup & Tram Tours

Are you passionate about preserving the natural beauty of the Forgotten Coast beaches? Bring your lovebird and come help the shorebirds! Clean along the bay shore, and gulf beaches, or help remove hurricane debris left in the park’s dunes. This event is perfect for families, couples, and groups of friends, and welcomes people all to participate. Not only will you get to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Forgotten Coast, but you’ll also be making a difference by helping to protect the environment.


Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off

Attention local chefs, cooking enthusiasts, and gumbo lovers; you’re in for a day of fun, food, and competition with this crowd favorite. The Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off returns February 18th and is sure to bring all the gumbo your stomach can bare. Put your tastebuds to the test find out whose homemade recipe is the best. This event is free to enter, and the only cost is for food and beverages. Tickets will be available for purchase to sample one, two, or as many as you like gumbos or stews.


African American History Festival

Mardi Gras Barkus Parade & Street Festival

Now in its 12th year, the Blast on the Bay Songwriters festival is a four-day, multi-venue music event featuring musicians and songwriters direct from Nashville. CeCome and celebrate Mardi Gras Apalach style with the sounds of lively music and colorful parades.organized by the Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers, the theme for this year’s parade is Grateful Dogs so break out the tie dye, love beads, and bring your Grateful Dogs.
