Port St. Joe comes alive at The Winter Bay Day Celebration, as the friends of St. Joseph Bay Preserves present a day of education, shrimp, and music. Hop aboard a guided Tram Tour through the backwoods trails of the Buffer Preserve and learn about the native animal and plant life. With a variety of fun and festive activities for all ages, it’s the perfect way to experience the natural beauty and community spirit of Port St. Joe. A bi-annual event, the Fall Bay Day Celebration celebrates the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve and highlights all of the activities available at the preserve. Enjoy a silent auction, raffle, birding tours, wildlife exhibits, nature/plant exhibits, educational displays, and a low country shrimp boil. In addition, there will be kids activities, fire demonstration, snacks, live music and tram tours.

The Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off returns February 18^th and is sure to bring all the gumbo your stomach can bare. Put your tastebuds to the test find out whose homemade recipe is the best. This event is free to enter, and the only cost is for food and beverages. Tickets will be available for purchase to sample one, two, or as many as you like gumbos or stews.
