Real estate sales increased slightly on the Forgotten Coast during August in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island. There were 57 single family homes closed during the month with 73 properties currently under contract. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach had the highest number of transactions with 20 closings and the highest priced property to close, a gulf front home selling for $2.04 million.
