SANTA ROSA BEACH — A school bus carrying 14 children backed into another vehicle after missing a child’s stop Tuesday morning.
According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, 76-year-old Judith A. Creech was making stops on Chat Holley Road around 7 a.m. Tuesday with 14 children on board.
A 2016 Nissan Altima driven by 31-year-old Cynthia Valdes Alverado of Santa Rosa Beach came to a stop behind the bus. Creech told FHP she had missed a stop for a student and decided to back up, not seeing the Altima, and the rear of the bus collided with the front of the Altima.
There were no injuries reported in collision.
Creech was charged with improper backing, according to FHP.
