TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Michael A. Adkinson, Jr. was recognized with a 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Florida State University College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. The award was presented to Mr. Adkinson at the 2017 Criminology Development Council Hall of Fame Celebratory Brunch, held March 24 at Hotel Duval in Tallahassee, Fla. The event, which was originally scheduled for Sept. 9, 2017, was postponed due to the events of Hurricane Irma.
Mr. Adkinson was one of eight alumni to receive this prestigious award, which recognizes and honors the numerous professional and personal achievements of FSU College of Criminology and Criminal Justice graduates. Recipients demonstrate outstanding professional accomplishments, service to the College, FSU, community and/or professional organizations, as well as embody the strength, skill, and character of Florida State University.
“Our College is pleased and proud to have such successful alumni that are impacting the world around them after their time here at the FSU College of Criminology and Criminal Justice,” said Eden Thorne, director of development. “They are great examples of how we bring research to life every day.”
