Today’s Boutique Celebrates 35th Anniversary with Month Long Celebration in October
Destin, Fla. (September 30, 2016) – Today’s Boutique, a local award winning fashion boutique, recently announced their 35th anniversary in the community. The boutique will mark this milestone with a month-long series of celebratory events, promotions and fundraising efforts in October.
Today’s Boutique opened its doors in 1981 and was an early pioneer for Destin’s unique fashion scene. It quickly evolved into an upscale, premier boutique for women, with an eclectic mix of fashions, ranging from Joseph Ribkoff, Free People, Comfy USA, Virgins Saints & Angels, Hobo, and Mary Frances to name a few. Today’s Boutique also showcases many jewelry designers both local and nationally branded, with exciting trunk shows, as well as Sip and Shop events.
Owners, and founders, Jim and Kim Dettle are very proud of the place they have established in the Emerald Coast Fashion scene and beyond. They have dedicated their careers to pleasing their ever expanding and diverse clientele. Their daughter, Kristin, is now an integral part of the team, as well. After, literally, being raised in the retail business, Kristin graduated from Florida State University with a Fashion Merchandising degree and “rejoined” the team in 2013 as the Store Manager. Today’s Boutique has been voted, “Best of the Emerald Coast,” for 15 years by the readers of Emerald Coast magazine; as well as, “Best In Destin,” by the readers of VIP Destin magazine.
Along with celebrating their 35th year in business in October, Today’s Boutique is also partnering with The Suzy Fund, a local non-profit, to raise money for breast cancer diagnostics and treatment. The Suzy Fund helps provide free screening, diagnostic mammograms and treatment assistance to under served women in Okaloosa and Walton counties. The Suzy Fund was established in October 2007 in association with local businesses and with the Sacred Heart Foundation.
The anniversary celebration will include the following promotions and fundraising efforts:
October 1: Lula and Lee Trunk Show Sip and Shop Event. Lula and Lee is a collection of jewelry made with mixed metals combined with turquoise, pearls and gemstones. The collection includes a fabulous variety of bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Today’s Boutique will offer 15% off all jewelry in store, including the trunk show pieces.
October 7 & 8: Today’s Pink Party featuring the Suzy Fund Fundraiser – Select pink items sold will be benefiting The Suzy Fund and the unveiling of the Today’s Boutique Basket worth over $2000 in value.
