HOLMES COUNTY, FL— One man is in custody following a multi-county pursuit that ended in Holmes County.
At approximately 1 pm Friday an off-duty Washington County deputy notified Walton County Sheriff’s Office he had observed Tony Ray Dorsey in Walton County driving westbound on Cowford Road.
Dorsey had an active order for bond revocation on original charges of aggravated battery on LEO, fleeing and eluding, as well as other charges.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies intercepted Dorsey on Highway 81 near Rockhill Road.
A traffic stop was attempted but Dorsey fled north on Highway 81. As the pursuit entered Holmes County on Highway 81, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office was able to spike the suspect vehicle and flatten multiple tires.
Dorsey continued to flee, so a PIT maneuver was used to end the pursuit at Highway 90 near Maple Street. The suspect was safely taken into custody and transported to Holmes County Jail.
Following the pursuit, Holmes County Sheriff’s office located narcotics inside the vehicle.
Dorsey faces charges of fleeing and eluding and reckless driving by Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Holmes County Sheriff’s Office is handling the bond revocation and narcotic charges.
