The Northwest Florida Ballet Presents 53rd Season

The Northwest Florida Ballet’s 2022-2023 season will include four different world-class productions with two main stage shows at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center featuring the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and two free outdoor performances.

“Our 2022-2023 season promises to be the best one yet. Not only will we present two incredible main stage productions at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center, but our season also includes two free outdoor performances. We are also thrilled to have the opportunity to perform with the talented musicians of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra led by our very own David Ott,” said NFB Artistic Director and CEO Todd Eric Allen.

The Ugly Duckling

Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Grand Park

Enjoy this classic tale in an unforgettable theatrical experience with a cutting-edge blend of puppetry, technology, and dance. With dazzling visuals, poignant choreography and the creative use of music ranging from classical to pop, this free outdoor production brings this story into a new and brilliant light. Lightwire Theater has been featured as semi-finalists on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and winners of Tru TV’s Fake Off. 


The Nutcracker
November 18th & 19th at 7:30pm
November 20th at 2:00pm
Mattie Kelly Arts Center

The only full-length version of this classic holiday fairytale performed in the area, Northwest Florida Ballet’s rendition of The Nutcracker features a cast of more than 140 performers including international guest artists and over 100 local children. The Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, led by NFB Music Director and Conductor David Ott, will provide musical accompaniment for all public performances.


Neverland with Peter Pan
March 11th at 7:30pm
March 12th at 2:30pm
Mattie Kelly Arts Center

Complete with magical sets and mesmerizing costumes, Northwest Florida Ballet’s production of Neverland with Peter Pan includes a cast of international guest artists and company members who will take audiences on a spectacular journey in this two-act production. Music Director David Ott will conduct the talented musicians of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, providing live musical accompaniment.


Ballet at Twilight
June 24th at 7:30pm
Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Grand Park

The season concludes at Grand Boulevard with Northwest Florida Ballet’s annual free community performance, Ballet at Twilight. This unique production features the artists of Northwest Florida Ballet with international guest artists performing a mix of contemporary, neoclassical, and classical pieces from guest choreographers and the Northwest Florida Ballet’s repertoire in a casual outdoor atmosphere.


Season subscriptions will be available beginning Augustt 30th, and include tickets to The Nutcracker and Peter Pan for $76 per adult and $35 per child (12 and under), a savings of more than 15% compared to box office prices. Patrons are also eligible to purchase tickets to the VIP parties for $25 each and receive a 10% discount for additional performance tickets when buying a season subscription.
