September Sales in Review · Emerald Coast

Sales activity increased for the Destin and Miramar Beach real estate markets during September with 163 properties closed and 127 new contracts secured for homes and condos combined. In Navarre Beach, there were 5 single family home and condominium sales and 8 properties placed under contract. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded over $67 million in sales volume across Walton and Okaloosa counties during September. A lake front, five bedroom home in Destin Pointe was the highest priced single family home to sell in Destin at $2.3 million while the highest priced property to close in Miramar Beach was an eight bedroom home in Snow Drift Beach at $3.595 million.   The highest priced condo sold in Destin was a gulf front, two bedroom residence in St. Thomas at Silver Shells for $2.975 million. A gulf front, three bedroom unit in Southwinds II in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort was the highest priced condo to sell in Miramar Beach at $2.1 million. Sales fell slightly in the 30A Beaches real estate market during September with 106 properties closed and 62 new contracts secured for homes and condominiums combined. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded 30 sides and nearly $38 million in sales volume in the 30A Beaches market. The brokerage had over $67 million in sales volume across Walton and Okaloosa counties during the month of September. A five bedroom, gulf view residence in Alys Beach was the highest priced single family home to sell at $13 million. The highest priced condo sold was a three bedroom, gulf front penthouse in Compass Point at WaterSound Beach at $4.387 million. There were 53 single family homes closed during the month with 78 properties currently under contract.
