CVHN and The Youth Mental Health Project Kick Off Partnership with Two Local Events

New Mental Health Resources coming to Okaloosa and Walton County Parents  Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) and The Youth Mental Health Project are introducing regional chapters of The Parent Support Network to the panhandle. Two local events will be held in Okaloosa and Walton counties to discuss The Parent Support Network and the regional chapters being developed. The new resources will provide local parents and caregivers who are concerned about their children’s mental health with an opportunity to find and support each other in a confidential and safe space.   The events will take place in October, both free to attend. One will be held in Okaloosa County and the other in Walton County. Each event will be 90 minutes long with a presentation by The Youth Mental Health Project team including Valerie Barton, Executive Director and Tyesha Branch, Program Manager. The Walton County event will take place on October 17, 2022 at Van R Butler Elementary School at 5 p.m., and the Okaloosa County event will take place on October 18, 2022 at United Way Emerald Coast at 5 p.m.  “We are thrilled to partner with the Children’s Volunteer Health Network in offering parent and caregiver support groups to families in Walton and Okaloosa counties,” said Barton. “Our youth mental health crisis continues, so it is critical that caregivers who are struggling to raise children with mental health challenges tell their stories to others who have “been there” and get the support and information they need to cope.” The Youth... September Sales in Review · Emerald Coast

Sales activity increased for the Destin and Miramar Beach real estate markets during September with 163 properties closed and 127 new contracts secured for homes and condos combined. In Navarre Beach, there were 5 single family home and condominium sales and 8 properties placed under contract. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded over $67 million in sales volume across Walton and Okaloosa counties during September. A lake front, five bedroom home in Destin Pointe was the highest priced single family home to sell in Destin at $2.3 million while the highest priced property to close in Miramar Beach was an eight bedroom home in Snow Drift Beach at $3.595 million.   The highest priced condo sold in Destin was a gulf front, two bedroom residence in St. Thomas at Silver Shells for $2.975 million. A gulf front, three bedroom unit in Southwinds II in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort was the highest priced condo to sell in Miramar Beach at $2.1 million. September Sales in Review · 30A Beaches

Sales fell slightly in the 30A Beaches real estate market during September with 106 properties closed and 62 new contracts secured for homes and condominiums combined. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded 30 sides and nearly $38 million in sales volume in the 30A Beaches market. The brokerage had over $67 million in sales volume across Walton and Okaloosa counties during the month of September. A five bedroom, gulf view residence in Alys Beach was the highest priced single family home to sell at $13 million. The highest priced condo sold was a three bedroom, gulf front penthouse in Compass Point at WaterSound Beach at $4.387 million.
