2nd Annual PCB Fishing RodeoSeptember 23rd – October 9th, 2022Capt. Anderson’s Marina5550 N Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach The much-anticipated PCB Fishing Rodeo brings back the fun and the fishing to Capt. Anderson’s Marina from September 23rd through October 9th. Daily weigh ins will occur from 10AM to 2PM and 4PM to 7PM with events happening every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the rodeo. Come out for exciting events suitable for the whole family! This year’s event will include 11 species of fish and 7 divisions with species tailored for each division. The rodeo allows and encourages a variety of anglers to participate whether you’re fishing from shore, on a kayak, personal boat, or a registered charter. Onsite food sponsors offering up delicious fare include Hunters Oyster Bar, Dockside Market & Gril, and Paparazzi Gourmet and Deli. Run for the Community at the First Ever Guarantee 5K and 1 Mile Fund Run

Run for a great community cause! The Gulf Coast State College Foundation will host the first ever Guarantee 5K and 1 Mile Fund Run on Saturday, September 17th to coincide with the 65th anniversary of the Gulf Coast State College. All proceeds of the event will contribute to the Gulf Coast Guarantee, a $700 scholarship awarded to students each semester from Bay, Gulf, and Franklin Counties who attend the college the fall semester after graduation. Secrets of how the planets, dwarf planets, and several moons received their legendary names will be revealed. Sip & Science: Lost in Space takes our usual fun antics appropriate for adults age 21 and up, and turns it into a journey through space (with wine). Join us for this fun and interactive planetarium show, including beer, a specialty cocktail, and appetizers. DESTIN CHEF AL MASSA CHOSEN TO REPRESENT FLORIDA IN GREAT AMERICAN SEAFOOD COOK-OFF

Destin’s Chef Al Massa of Brotula’s Seafood House and Steamer will face 13 other chefs from around the country for the title King or Queen of American Seafood in the 18th Annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off. To be eligible to compete in the event, chefs must either hold the current title of King or Queen of Seafood or be appointed by the lieutenant governor of their respective state or territory. “We are very excited and extremely humbled to have the opportunity to represent Destin, the Panhandle, and the Great State of Florida in the Great American Seafood Cookoff.” – Chef Al Massa, Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer Chef Al Massa’s love for cooking started like many other aspiring culinary creators in his family’s kitchen. Chef Massa pitched in to help his mother with dinner parties, which only grew his appreciation for simple delicious food. After serving in the United States Air Force, Chef Massa attended Johnson and Wales for culinary school, followed by more than ten years under the eye of Emeril Lagasse, learning the fundamentals of Creole cuisine.
