Step One Automotive Group Presents $22,000 to Subaru Share the Love® Event

   Hometown Charities OCSO Sheriff’s Star Charity and Healing Hoof Steps   On Monday, May 8, 2023, Step One Automotive Group presented donation checks to Subaru Share the Love Event Hometown Charities, OCSO Sheriff’s Star Charity and Healing Hoof Steps Equine Assisted Mental Health Counseling and Therapeutic Riding. In 2022, Step One Automotive Group and Subaru Fort Walton Beach announced the organizations as the hometown charities for the 2022 Subaru Share the Love® Event.  From November 17, 2022, to January 3, 2023, anyone who purchased or leased a new Subaru had the opportunity to select OCSO Sheriff’s Star Charity, Healing Hoofsteps, or one of four national charities to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, Inc. “We are so excited to be able to include two such wonderful charities in Share the Love this year. SINFONIA GULF COAST ANNOUNCES 2023 GRACE FULCHER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

  Fort Walton Beach High School Senior Maxine Sculthorpe was awarded a $1,000 scholarship on May 7 at the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra Spring Concert Sinfonia Gulf Coast is pleased to announce that Maxine Sculthorpe of Shalimar, Florida, has been named the winner of the 2023 Grace Fulcher Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship, created in memory and honor of Grace Bernice Fulcher, is awarded annually to a Sinfonia Youth Orchestra high school senior. The 2023 scholarship recipient was announced following the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra Spring Concert on Sunday, May 7, 2023. This year’s concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature Sinfonia Youth Orchestra, Sinfonietta Strings, and Sinfonia’s Chamber ensembles. The scholarship is awarded to contribute to tuition and fees associated with higher education costs. This year’s scholarship amount is $1,000. Maxine Sculthorpe is a senior at Fort Walton Beach High School, and she has been playing violin for one year in the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra. Sculthorpe says her favorite thing about Sinfonia Youth Orchestra is “the opportunity it provides for musicians to learn from each other, in addition to visits from professional musicians.” In addition to being a musician, Sculthorpe participates in Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Team, Academic Team, Art Club, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Music National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, “Murals with a Meaning” painting project and ballet.   ­­­­Mandatory Vocal Rest Follows Vocal Fold Trauma Diagnosis As shared direct to fans moments ago, Morgan Wallen has reinjured his vocal cords following three shows this week and is now under mandatory vocal rest for six weeks. Per the diagnosis, he will not be performing at the 2023 Gulf Coast Jam Presented by Jim Beam. Superstars Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, and HARDY are set to headline June 1-4, 2023, and a major announcement will be made shortly about who will be filling the June 3 slot. “Morgan was the first 2023 headliner we announced last year, and the anticipation to see his amazing show, along with HARDY, Miranda and Kane and the rest of our incredible lineup, was off the charts,” said Gulf Coast Jam Presented by Jim Beam Executive Producer Rendy Lovelady. “We’ve seen time and time again how brutal this business can be on the body, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Morgan for a full recovery.” HARDY, Breland, Dylan Marlowe and Them Dirty Roses are scheduled to perform on the opening night, Thursday, June 1, 2023.
