Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation To Donate $2.7 Million To Benefit 15 Children’s Charities

Destin Charity Wine

Currently ranked as the third largest charity wine auction in the country by Wine Spectator Magazine for the second year in a row, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation’s mission is to connect wine enthusiasts to benefit children in need in Northwest Florida. This year’s auction produced record-breaking fundraising numbers, and the Foundation is excited to present its 15 benefiting, local children’s charities with funding to facilitate a variety of critical needs within the community. Charity partners do not know the exact dollar amount being awarded to their organization until it is presented to them on stage on August 21. The emotional event is typically attended by over 250 people, all of whom support DCWAF and its benefiting charities throughout the course of the year as sponsors, bidders, board members, and trustees. This Year’s 2018 Benefiting Charities are: AMIKids, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Children in Crisis, Children’s Volunteer Health Network, Emerald Coast Autism Center, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Food for Though Outreach, Inc., Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, Mental Health Association of Okaloosa/Walton Counties, Opportunity Place, Inc., Pathways for Change, Sacred Heart Hospital of the Emerald Coast, Shelter House, The Arc of the Emerald Coast, and Youth Village.

Beginning in the 2018-2019 fiscal year, DCWAF is adding a 16th charity to their list of benefactors. Westonwood Ranch, a new nonprofit designed to fill the gap in transition services as young adolescents affected by autism enter adulthood, has been officially named a benefiting charity of DCWAF. The 13TH Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation Check Presentation Ceremony will be held Tuesday, August 21 at 5:30 PM at the WaterColor LakeHouse; 34 Goldenrod Circle in Santa Rosa Beach.
