April 2020 real estate sales in the 30A Beaches market were slowed by the coronavirus pandemic but not stalled. There were 58 new contracts for homes and condos combined while 65 properties closed, and this month included the highest sales of the year at $6.95 million.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida led the 30A market in transactions with 32.5 sides. The company recorded nearly $24 million in sales volume in the 30A Beaches and over $35 million across Walton and Okaloosa counties.

A 9 bedroom Gulf front estate in Seagrove Beach was the highest priced single family home to sell during April – and for all of 2020 – at $6.95 million. This new construction home included over 6,900 square feet, a private beachfront pool and sweeping views of the Gulf throughout.

The highest priced condo sold was a 2 bedroom Gulf view unit in The Lucian that closed at $1.495 million in the Alys Beach community.
