March 2020 will forever be marked by the onset of COVID-19 yet despite the widespread national economic impacts from the virus, our market still experienced activity with consistent closings and new contracts. There were 46 single family homes closed and 52 pending or contingent properties across the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe and St. George Island. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach had the highest number of closings for the month while the highest priced property to sell during March was a Gulf front home in the St. George Plantation on St. George Island. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida sales executives represented both the buyer and the seller in this transaction.
